Little Green Men from outer space,
Emeralds, jealousy,
clinging.

Summer skies
and deep sea waters,
Duck eggs, sapphires
and babies' eyes,
Gentians, peacocks,
mood indigo,
And melancholy lovers' sighs.

Royalty and purple passion,
Lilacs and shrinking
violets,
Deepest twilight and
half-mourning,
Misty mountains and mauve
evenings.

Rainbows of hope and
happiness
Carven crystals splintering light,
Tears sparkling on lovers'
lashes
Telling of pain or deep
delight.
